do you need a license to fix computers for money in California?

I was just wanna send flyers around my neighborhood to make some little money. I still have to report a sale tax right?

You will need a business license from the city or county your business is based in. If you are also going to sell parts, you will need a “resale” permit from the state so you can collect sales tax.

Be aware that in Kaliphoney, if you get a business license, you MUST file a tax return that includes your business income and expenses no matter how little you make or how much you lose!!! If you fail to do that, they will ASSUME that you made a certain amount based on their own fictitious “average earnings” for the type of business you are in….usually quite a bit more than is actually reasonable even for an assumption then bill you for taxes on that amount.
